Massive Sydney Traffic Works

February 6, 2018

Busy, busy, busy!

At Site Security & Traffic Control, Sydney, we've found that the old attitude of rest over the xmas break while sites are down, is no more. Nothing shuts down anymore in the construction industry!

Sure, you have your public holiday shut downs, but other than that, is game on! We had an influx of calls from project managers right through to your civil plumbers who needed traffic control plans for immediate works.

An article from last year stated that Sydney was "One Big Construction Site."

NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet tried to ease the publics concerns; he said the cranes reflected NSW's infrastructure agenda. "Every single crane in the sky is more evidence of another home, another school, another hospital, another business in our capital," he said.

All this works going on, we are happy. It's non stop traffic management as well as pedestrian management. Buys times for the company.

The steady growth of the company has been a direct reflection of the great job our team have been doing out on the roads. We are proud to say that we have never lost a client to another company since the start of SSTC - Site Security & Traffic Control.

There are just 151 cranes working on projects in Melbourne, while Sydney's stats also dwarfs Brisbane (85) and the Gold Coast (31).The numbers reflect a construction boom in Australia's biggest city, with projects like the $17 billion motorway extravaganza WestConnex, NorthConnex, Sydney Metro — which has an estimated price tag of up to $11 billion — and two light rail lines all being built. - ABC

With the works increasing around Sydney, we have now had to hire another full time traffic planner to join our team. A traffic planners specific role is to design and construct traffic plans traffic management plans, and also to liaise with council and RMS to take care of permits.

Big and exciting time for the team
